To Boycott or Not to Boycott?

Posted: Updated:
At Staples Center Kings fans are hoping their Kings can stay alive in their playoff series by beating the San Jose Sharks tonight. But, they are also fully aware of what's going on with the LA Clippers and team owner Donald Sterling. There are big questions, though, about what will happen tomorrow night in the Clippers playoff game.

There have been calls for a boycott of the game, but some sports fans are torn about whether that's a good thing in this case. Amanda Mathew, who has talked with her friends about the whole flap surrounding comments allegedly made by team owner Donald Sterling feels torn. She says, "you do feel caught in the middle because you want to support the team. They're doing amazingly right now. You want to support the team, but you don't want to support a man who is saying horrible and despicable things."

Some sports fans like Al Bustillos said he'll probably boycott "...because if what I heard is true its very unprofessional and doesn't belong anywhere in sports." But, others I spoke with were convinced that by boycotting Tuesday night's game a strong message can be sent.

Is there evidence there will be a boycott? It's not clear, but it seems there are groups who are planning to go to the game not to see the Clippers, but to protest.
