Falcons look to add depth at TE, RB, LB in draft

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - General manager Thomas Dimitroff will look to improve the Atlanta Falcons' depth at tight end, running back and linebacker during the third day of the NFL draft.

The retirement of 14-time Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez leaves a gaping hole on offense that one player can't fill.

With Levine Toilolo returning for his second year, the Falcons signed Bear Pasco last week, but coach Mike Smith wants to add more competition at tight end through the draft.

At least one of Atlanta's seven remaining picks is likely to be used on a third-string running back behind Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rodgers and replace Jason Snelling, who retired.

Linebackers Sean Weatherspoon, Paul Worrilow and Joplo Bartu return as starters, but Omar Gaither is the only backup linebacker on the roster.
