Studio 11 LA Guest Country Music Singer Clay Walker

Posted: Updated:
You may know Clay Walker for his hit songs “She Won’t Be Lonely Long” and “Live Until I Die.” Most recently, he’s been in the recording studio preparing for the release of new music, prepping for a number of tour dates throughout spring and summer across the U.S. and Australia, and is making headway in the world of television as host in the second season of the Outdoor Channel’s Trophy Hunters, as well as his screen acting in Space Cowboys, the 2013 film Alone Yet Not Alone, recently finished filming The Last Duane.

Clay also has ms.  Currently, there are more than 2.8 million individuals affected by MS.  There is no cure for this disease in which the immune system attacks the nerves. The condition is also difficult to predict: Some people with MS have trouble walking or talking, while others have milder symptoms that flare and subside.

MS is difficult no matter who you are, and celebrities face additional challenges of keeping up public appearance and being up front with fans, along with sometimes demanding schedules and stressful working conditions—both known triggers for MS flare-ups.  Clay is one of many celebrities faced with this disease and he’s speaking out to share information and resources he uses to successfully manage the disease.  He shared details about his own journey and the importance of going “on the record” with your physician. In his case, taking time to keep current with his neurologist has had a huge impact, including a recent change in his disease management.
