Freeway Fire Near 405 And 118

 (Fox 11/CNS) - Mission Hills - A fire that broke out along the San Diego (405) Freeway temporarily closed lanes in both directions today, but no structures were damaged.
The fire was reported about 3:05 p.m., north of Nordhoff Street, and nearly put out by 5 p.m., according the Los Angeles Fire Department. All northbound lanes reopened about 5 p.m., and all but two southbound lanes were reopened, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fire appeared to be burning under an elevated stretch of transition road near the junction with the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway.
