MISSION HILLS (FOX 11) - A bicyclist is still sedated and in critical condition after a hit and run accident 13 days ago.  His family says they're  frustrated the police investigation hasn't gone far.

Doctors say Scott Brandsrud, 53, has nine broken ribs, a punctured lung, broken shoulder bone and concussion.

The accident happened miles on the intersection is Sepulveda Blvd and Devonshire St. at around  9:40 in the morning on May 4th.

In surveillance video FOX 11  obtained we see a white car drive across the top of the screen on Sepulveda Blvd.  It stops at the intersection and then drives through the red light, and according to the police report, that's when it hit Scott and continued driving.  We see a woman react and run to help Scott.

Nearly two weeks later Police have not identified the suspect.

We spoke to his younger brother Nick Brandsrud about how difficult this has been for the family.

"I'm very stressed out, nervous and it's very hard on our family.  Our brothers really important to us.  It's unbelievable," Brandsrud said.

Scott has two daughters that visit every day, Kristin Brandsrud,18 and
Cassandra Brandsrud,12.

"We love you dad, God is with you," Cassandra said.

Police are investigating, but the family is asking the public if they recognize the vehicle or if they know what happened to please contact authorities.

Anyone with information can contact the LAPD at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).
