American Idol Is Over; What's Next On FOX?

Posted: Updated:

So, Memorial Day weekend has just ended and it's time to get back to work. But don't worry - you'll have some great new TV shows to look forward to! As most of us know, American Idol just ended and we've crowned Caleb Johnson to be the winner. In case you’re having withdrawals from reality judging shows, you'll soon be overloaded with all the season premieres taking place this week.

Starting out, we have MasterChef. This show challenges at-home chefs to put their skills to test, as three judges see if they’ve got what it takes to become a culinary master. And these aren't your average judges. These are some of the biggest names in the food industry - like Chef Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Chef Graham Elliot. These three guys are tough and the new challengers definitely have their worked cut out for them if they want to survive. FOX fans should definitely check this show out. These "average Joes", who claim to be chefs, cook and plot against one another to give themselves the upper-hand. There are a lot of twist and turns – my favorite is when the three judges taste the chefs food creations and give them their opinions. In some cases, the judges can be quite nice, but usually and most frequently, they are spitting out and throwing the food away with utter disgust. What a waste of perfectly good food! Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for “MasterChef” tonight at 8pm.

If cooking isn’t your thing and you like to get "turnt up"( which means to get wild and crazy) with some dancing, "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" will be premiering this Wednesday at 8pm. This season’s premiere is two hours long, so make sure you stretch so you don't pull anything from all the excitement! If you haven't seen the show, this is how it works - judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, along with some guest judges, go around America in search for the best dancers in the nation. This show will definitely get you up-and-out of your seat trying some of the killer dance moves!

From the cooking to dancing show premieres, I’m sure you’ll be on the edge of your seat and exhausted when it’s all said and done. Make sure to tune into MasterChef to see the judges lay the smack down on some amateur chefs! Then, rest up for Wednesday, because you'll be movin' and groovin' with SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE at 8pm!
