While police may not know what triggered the crash Tuesday night at Tustin and Taft in Orange, or which driver was at fault, they do know it was one horrific crash, with a Ford SUV slamming right into a moving pick up truck.
A truck that kept on moving with its driver immediately leaving the scene. Never stopping to see if anyone needed help.
And the people inside the now overturned Ford Explorer did need help.
The male driver was dead but his female passenger was alive and injured.
As for the hit and run suspect, there's no description on what that person looks like but police say the dark-colored Ford pickup truck they were driving should have some extensive passenger-side and front-end damage.
The injured passenger is hospitalized in stable condition.
