This past Valentine's Day, two dogs viciously attacked Maya Stewart while she was out for a stroll in her Los Angeles neighborhood. Luckily, her local UPS delivery driver heard her repeated screams and leapt into action, pulling her over the fence she was trying to climb to escape. He stayed with her, keeping her safe from the dogs until her husband arrived to take her to the hospital. It was one of the worst dog attacks Maya's doctors had ever seen, and she firmly believes the driver saved her life. She was unable to walk for six weeks. After three months of treatment, her recovery is nearly complete and she's finally back at work.

Maya asked UPS if she personally could thank her hero, driver Gary Pantolone, but wanted to wait until she was recovered.
