Posted: Updated:
MONROE, Mich. (WJBK) - A raging fire Saturday morning at the Hidden Trails apartment complex off Stewart Rd. in Frenchtown Township left dozens of families homeless. Firefighters had to rescue several people from the top floor of a 3-story building.

The Monroe News reports more than 100 residents were evacuated after the fire was reported around 9am. Aerial ladder trucks were used to spray water onto the building. No injuries are reported.
One resident told the newspaper that people "just piled out" from their buildings as the fire alarms sounded. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting families involved with shelter, food and clothing.
