SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - Efforts resumed Monday morning to find a man who went missing in the water at Stoney Creek Metropark over the weekend.

The missing person has now been identified as 21-year-old Malcolm Fairley. He was believed initially to be in his teens.

We're told four people rented a paddle boat. Three were wearing life jackets. The man who is missing was not wearing a jacket when he jumped into about 15 feet of water and did not resurface, Metropark police and Macomb Co. Dive Commander tells FOX 2.

Harrison Township and Shelby Township dive teams were dispatched along with the Macomb County Sheriff's Department dive team in the Mount Vernon picnic area in Washington Township.

FOX 2 will have the latest on this developing story beginning on FOX 2 News tonight at 10 p.m.
