The Casey Kasem family feud continues, but this time with a bizarre twist. Sunday, daughter Kerri went to a house in Washington to move her father for medical care. She claims, he was moved from Santa Monica without her knowledge. Kasem’s wife, Jean came out of the house and tossed a pound of raw hamburger at Kerri and said, “In the order of King David, I throw this meat to you, to the dogs, to the dogs.” She told NBC news that it was a reference to biblical scripture and that the meat was in exchange for her husband. Instead, paramedics moved Kasem onto a gurney and transported him by ambulance to a hospital for care.
All this took some legal wrangling; May 12 a Los Angeles judge essentially gave Kasem’s conservatorship to his eldest daughter Kerri. Kasem then went missing for a couple of days, before he was found in Kitsap County, Washington. A judge there on Friday granted Kerri the right to see her father. Kerri says her father’s condition has declined dramatically, since she saw him last in early May. She says in addition to the condition, Lewy Body Dementia, which renders the famous DJ unable to speak with a progressive decline in mental abilities, he is also suffering from infections in the lungs and bladder.
The legal wrangling over the care of Casey Kasem continues. Both sides will be back in an LA court, Friday.
