Big Brothers Big Sisters Makes A Difference In The Community

Posted: Updated:

Want to change a kid's life, but don't know where to start?

"Big Brothers Big Sisters" is making that easier.

Fox 29's Karen Hepp explains.

You don't get something for free too often, but how about a free bike whenever you want? There's a catch, and it's a good one, you have to become a 'Big Brother or Big Sister.'

Joe Berlucci is a 'Big,' 9-year-old James Cahill is a 'Little,' and they're a great team.

“My dad left when I was little kid, never had anyone to play with, I'm so excited,” said Cahill.

Berlucci says make the time to volunteer, no excuses, he has 3 kids under the age of 5 at home.

“I have 5-month-old, awesome big commitment 2, 4 times a month, well worth it give you a lot,” he said.

Wheel Fun Rentals wants to give also. They're giving an unlimited amount of free bike rentals to all 'Big Brother Big Sister' teams.

There are 1200 kids on a waiting list for a match, most of them boys, it took Cahill 3 years to get the big in his life.
