Annual Tour de Cure bikes against diabetes

Posted: Updated:
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJBK) - Nearly 26 million Americans may look perfectly healthy… but they’re not. They’re fighting diabetes, and exercise is one of the best ways to do it. That’s why the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure bike ride is pedaling with a purpose!

Join FOX 2’s Rich Luterman at the annual bike ride this weekend, Saturday, June 7, at Washtenaw Community College, 4800 E Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. The registration fee is $25, and a minimum of $200 must be raised to attend.

Tour de Cure has a route for everyone – experienced and inexperienced bikers! Route options include: 10 miles, 20 miles, 40 miles, 62 miles, and 100 miles, from low to high intensity.

Form a team, raise the money, pick a route, and start pedaling!  This is a ride, not a race.  Its purpose is to promote healthy living, while raising money to find a cure for diabetes. Join the cause!
