Learn to dance like Beyonce (or at least try)

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

If you want to walk a mile in Queen Bee's shoes, Broadway Bodies can make it happen. But I'd start in sneakers and then work your up to stilettos. Whether you're a fan of Beyoncé's music or not you gotta admit the girl can dance.

If you've ever wanted to master her insane moves here's your chance. The Beyoncé workout class at Broadway Bodies involves working out to her music and learning her choreography. Each class breaks down one of Mrs. Carter's songs.

We learned the choreography to the aggressive upbeat single "End of Time" and "I'm Not Gonna Lie." I had a hard time keeping up with that fast tempo .but our hilarious and very patient teacher made beginners like me and Selwa feel at ease. It's just not for the ladies either. Some men take the class, too.

If you really want to channel Sasha Fierce, my one tip is to bring a headband!

The Beyoncé class is every Monday and Wednesday at Broadway Bodies and costs $20. There are two different locations so check the website broadwaybodies.com.

Heavy thunderstorms swept through the tri-state on Sunday causing flash floods and lightning strikes that injured 3 people. The three men were struck at Orchard Beach in the Bronx Sunday afternoon and were being treated at a local hospital. Meanwhile, various Labor Day weekend celebrations were interrupted, delayed and even canceled as the U.S. Open tennis tournament had to be postponed and the Electric Zoo musical festival on Randall's Island had to be prematurely shut down.
