ATLANTA (AP) - Primate care experts, veterinarians, researchers and more are gathering at Zoo Atlanta for the International Gorilla Workshop.
Zoo spokeswoman Keisha Hines says more than 160 experts are expected to gather at the zoo this week to discuss challenges and issues facing gorillas living in zoos and in the wild.
Hines says the workshop is expected to include discussions, educational sessions and more. Some of the sessions will be led by zoo Atlanta staff.
Hines says Zoo Atlanta is home to America's largest collection of endangered western lowland gorillas - include three who are over the age of 50.
