Farmer Says Cow Thinks She's A Dog

Posted: Updated:
Sacramento, CA -

A cow thinks she's a canine that’s the case in Sacramento where Milkshake the Cow resides.

Six years ago, she was rescued from an abusive owner by the grace foundation which provides rehabilitation for abused animals.

Since then, Milkshake has not only taken to hanging around with dogs she’s often eating out of a bowl with other pups instead of grazing for grass.

According to Rancher Beth Decaprio, it all stems from the fact that she was never exposed to other cows.

Not only does the half-ton bovine enjoy hanging with pooches, she’s even tried getting into the backseat of Beth’s car.

"She really doesn't know. She was never around another cow. We have another cow friend for her," said Decaprio.

Beth says Milkshake still suffers from separation anxiety when she leaves the ranch.
