Police Release Surveillance Video Of Gun Shop Robbers

Posted: Updated:

Police release surveillance video of a couple wanted for a wild robbery and shooting at a Northeast Philadelphia gun shop.

Investigators think they might be responsible for a similar case this week.

Police have provided surveillance video of the Bonnie and Clyde-like-bandits in action Wednesday night, as they robbed a customer leaving the gun range on Percy street in spring garden. Police now believe they are the same suspects who robbed two men of seven guns in the northeast Thursday night.

"These two individuals are not only armed and dangerous, but no they're heavily armed," warned Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The suspects robbed a bag full of guns during the holdup outside the Delaware Valley Sports Center just before 9:00 p.m. Thursday and escaped in a dark colored car with tinted windows. They shot a 67-year-old man even after he turned over his guns.

"The perpetrators still decided to shoot a 67-year-old man in the groin from point blank range," said Small.

Police now have the surveillance video of the female suspect as she got out of the getaway car and came inside the gun range right before the robbery Wednesday night. You can clearly see her face. Minutes later the same woman is taking part in the armed robbery right outside.

"You want to feel safe but when you got fools out here running around just doing what they're doing. It makes you want to have them even more," explains range customer Marvin Richardson.

Richardson shoots at the range with his wife all the time. He says the robberies have him paying very close attention to his surroundings when he comes and goes from the range.

"We're always paying attention to who's around us whenever we go in and come out," explained Richardson.

Police say the gun toting bandits also stole the victim's cell phone and wallet. Police are now searching for this car, which they believe is either a Nissan or Honda.

"They're fools thinking they can get away with anything now-a-days. Cameras are everywhere," said Richardson.
