Fashion Designer Jason Wu For Lancome

Posted: Updated:

Fashion Designer Jason Wu joined us in studio today to talk about the launch of his second collection with Lancôme. We also chatted about his two most famous dresses worn by the First Lady Michelle Obama for both the 2008 and 2012 Inaugural Ball.

Jason loves working with Lancôme because they don't impose a model of beauty but rather invite women to embrace themselves. This is the embodiment of a truly sexy, modern and confident woman, much like the women he designs for.

This new collection offers the graceful sophistication and glamorous sensuality of the modern woman.

Jason personally curated each shade to create a synergistic master palette to coincide with his pre-fall collection so that he could put my own interpretation on effortlessly chic French Glamour, which is what Lancôme is so known for.

The inspiration for this collection was this midnight floral motif that you can see on the packaging, but also inspired the natural, earthier tones that really lend themselves well to a beauty palette.

“When designing clothes, I strive to accentuate and pay homage to the female form. With makeup, it's no different. Each element helps showcase a woman's uniquely individual feathers, so my goal is always to be reverent of that innate beauty and that is a creative mission that Lancôme shares.”

The collection is comprised of

EYE:

Color Design Eye Brightening All-In-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette, in Disco, Midnight Floral and Alpha Dahlia (Specialty Exclusive);$50

Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Atlantic Blue; $30.50

Définicils High Definition Mascara in Black; $27.50

CHEEK:
