Officer Wounded, Man Killed in Police Shooting

(FOX 11 / CNS) An officer-involved shooting in Inglewood today left one person dead and a police officer wounded, according to broadcast reports.

Paramedics were sent to the 3800 block 113th Street and Imperial Highway about 3 a.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.

The officer suffered a hand wound, according to broadcast reports. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which often becomes involved in investigating officer-involved shootings, referred questions about the violence to the Inglewood Police Department, which did not immediately release any information about it.
