Kim Fields: The Opposite End Of The Spectrum

Posted: Updated:

Kim Fields has reunited with her ‘Facts Of Life’ co-star Lisa Welchel, playing wedding planners in a new Hallmark movie called ‘For Better Or For Worse’.

Fun facts about Kim Fields: (Source: Wikipedia)

 1) She is an American actress, singer and television director. She is known for her roles as Tootie Ramsey on the NBC sitcom The Facts of Life, and as Regine Hunter on the Fox sitcom Living Single. She is the daughter of actress/director Chip Fields.

2) Before appearing on Facts of Life, Fields co-starred in a short-lived sitcom called Baby, I'm Back with Demond Wilson and Denise Nicholas, and appeared in a television commercial for Mrs. Butterworth's pancake syrup. She later appeared on Good Times as a friend of Penny Gordon Woods, played by Janet Jackson. Her real-life mother, Chip Fields, guest-starred on Good Times as the mother of Penny. Chip and Kim never appeared in the same episodes. Kim's episodes on Good Times were "The Snow Storm" and "The Physical."

3) Fields played the role of Tootie on the sitcom The Facts of Life from 1979 to 1988. Even decades later, many still recognize her catchphrase, "We're in troouu-ble!" When the show began production, Fields was so short that the producers put her on roller skates during the first season so that they could avoid difficult camera angles. Ironically, she later lost a role as Arnold Jackson's girlfriend on The Facts of Life's parent show Diff'rent Strokes because she was taller than Gary Coleman, who played Arnold.

‘For Better Or For Worse’ airs a week from Saturday, July 19th on the Hallmark Channel.

Sutter Zachman had his first record deal when he was barely out of his teens. You may have seen the Orange County native was on stage at the Largo and other hot clubs around LA. He then left town...after what he called a few "bouts" with the music business, but now he is back with a new EP called ‘Repeat Offender.'
