Arizona Woman Searches For Good Samaritan

Posted: Updated:

GILBERT, Ariz.(KSAZ) - A valley woman is searching for the good Samaritan who she says helped save her life after a car crash.

The Gilbert woman says the life-changing moment came on May 28 after she had been hit in an intersection.

Another woman came to her rescue and 23-year-old Christina Sbraccia says she's determined to find her and tell her "Thank you."

Sbraccia is recovering from an accident that happened on Riggs Road and Val Vista Drive.

"I unbuckled my seat belt, opened the door and that's when I realized my right leg was broken," Sbraccia said.

He leg was broken in six places, but she says it could have been worse if it hadn't been for that mystery good Samaritan.

A woman named Renee helped pull Christina safely away from the burning car.

Sbraccia says, "She rushed over to my side, she said 'I'm Renee, I'm going to help you, but you need to stay still, you can't move or spin your neck'."

During the chaos, Christina never had the chance to say "Thank you" to the woman she says saved her life, and kept her from being paralyzed.

Christina says she injured her spine in the accident, "The artery between these two small bones in my neck had been pinched and the doctors said during that critical time had she not been so careful with me I could have been paralyzed, had it been just an inch closer to my brain stem."

Renee is described as a woman in her 40's with blue eyes and red straight hair.

Christina is hoping to find her and says she much more than just a good Samaritan.

She says, "It might be silly, but she kinda seems like an earthbound angel. I mean, she really just showed up at the perfect time for me, I don't think anyone could have done what she did."
