Shelter Dogs Take Flight From So Cal To The Pacific Northwest

Posted: Updated:
Long Beach, CA -

(FOX 11) About 150 shelter dogs that might otherwise have been put down, are about to take a plane ride to new homes on Wednesday morning. They're leaving from Long Beach Airport. All the dogs are being loaded onto a plane that will take them to homes and adoption-friendly shelters in the Pacific Northwest.

Many of them are breeds that are too plentiful in Southern California.

Steven Latham is one of the many people responsible for helping get these dogs new homes.

They are asking you to join the team by donating to help continue these transports. If you are unable to donate $75, we are able to pair your donation of any amount with other donors to save a pet!

He joined us from the Long Beach Airport to talk to us about this worthwhile cause. For more information, Check out the official Website for FlyMeHome.org
